Bal

Bal graduated from Simon Fraser University with her Bachelor of Science (Major in Kinesiology) in 2018. She then moved "down under" to Gold Coast, Australia, to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Bond University, from which she graduated in 2021. She spent a year working in private practice, followed by working in travel locums across Australia. Throughout these experiences, she discovered her interests in both neurological physiotherapy and pain science, and decided it was time to return home to the Okanagan. Bal has since began working at Kelowna General Hospital as a stroke physiotherapist, helping patients during the acute phase of stroke recovery. At the same time, she also provides physiotherapy services with Stride to help patients beyond the hospital setting, whether they are recovering from stroke, managing chronic conditions, or looking to improve their physical function and wellbeing. She is passionate about empowering patients to achieve their goals, regain independence and guiding individuals on their journey of recovery and wellness. When she is not busy working, Bal enjoys hiking, resistance training, reading, spending time with family and is always keen for new adventures.
